Job description
To support Faktion’s growth in its ‘AI Product Studio, as a service’ and, we are seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven Head of Business Development who combines strategic thinking with exceptional sales leadership capabilities and can generate new business opportunities and bring us into the rooms of the right decision makers. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing Faktion's business development strategy, building and leading a high-performance sales team, aggressively driving lead generation and closing high-value deals while leveraging your profound understanding of AI and custom AI projects.
You will work closely with our sales, technical, and delivery teams to identify opportunities, develop tailored AI solutions, and accelerate our clients’ digital transformation. Your exceptional ability to navigate complex sales environments and your deep expertise in AI or software engineering will be key in positioning Faktion as a trusted advisor and market leader.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Team Development:
Define and implement Faktion's business development strategy, setting ambitious yet achievable targets aligned with company objectives.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance business development team, driving a culture of excellence and accountability.
Establish and optimize sales processes, methodologies, and KPIs that drive sustainable growth.
Revenue Generation & Market Expansion:
Personally manage and grow relationships with strategic enterprise accounts, closing significant deals that drive substantial revenue.
Identify and develop new market opportunities across industries, regions, and solution offerings.
Create and refine value propositions and go-to-market strategies for our focus domains.
Executive Collaboration & Business Strategy:
Work closely with the executive team to align sales strategies with service delivery.
Provide market intelligence and customer insights to inform company strategy and investment decisions.
Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless client experiences and successful project delivery.
Lead Generation & Hunting:
Proactively generate new business by identifying, targeting, and engaging decision makers within key industries (e.g., banking, insurance, HR services).
Act as a relentless "hunting machine" to secure meetings with top-level executives and drive a robust sales pipeline.
Outbound & ABM Strategy:
Define and refine outbound and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) value propositions for our focus domains.
Develop targeted messaging and strategic campaigns that resonate with key decision makers and address specific pain points in each target market.
Strategic Sales & Deal Closing:
Develop and execute sales strategies that combine consultative and provocative selling techniques.
Convert complex client needs into compelling business cases that result in the successful closing of custom AI projects.
Concept Development & Thought Leadership:
Craft innovative concepts and narratives that clearly articulate the strategic value of our AI solutions.
Establish Faktion as a thought leader in digital transformation by actively engaging in industry events and discussions.
Collaboration & Project Oversight:
Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to tailor AI solutions that address specific business challenges.
Oversee project delivery to ensure that resources, schedules, and budgets align with client expectations and strategic goals.
Market & Stakeholder Intelligence:
Quickly assimilate new information about AI technologies, data systems, and business processes to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market.
Navigate and influence complex stakeholder environments to drive successful sales outcomes.
Job requirements
Educational Background:
Master's Degree in Business Management, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus
Professional Experience:
Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales leadership, or client relationship management in technology sectors
Proven track record of building and leading high-performance sales teams
Demonstrated success in consistently exceeding revenue targets and driving significant business growth
Technical & Business Acumen:
Profound understanding of AI technologies and custom AI projects, with the ability to quickly translate complex technical concepts into business value.
In-depth knowledge of digital technologies, data systems, and their applications across various business processes.
Sales & Networking Skills:
Exceptional lead generation and hunting skills, with a relentless drive to secure meetings with with C-level executives across industries.
Strong consultative and provocative selling capabilities that drive deal closing and revenue growth.
Communication & Leadership:
Outstanding storytelling, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the confidence to influence C-level executives.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Direct experience in AI or software engineering sectors, with a deep understanding of both technology and business challenges.
A proven ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and market trends, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Experience in navigating and influencing multi-stakeholder environments, particularly within large organizations or public institutions.
A strong network within relevant industries that can be leveraged for immediate business impact.
